We use the concealed carry portion of the Concealed Carry and Home Defense course in addition to Utah CFP specific laws in two types of classes.

Items that will be taught in both class types include:
Group Class
The group class takes 4 hours of classroom instruction. It covers the requirements to qualify for the Utah CFP.
The fee for group classes is $45.00 per student.
Attending the group class leads into a following (optional) training session for the practical exercises to reinforce the academic training. The practical course will include more extensive hands-on training and live fire range time.
Private Class
The private class is conducted in the client's venue, normally the hosts home. Those attending the private class are invited by the host. The private classes have a much more relaxed feeling since the students all know each other. Asking questions will be significantly less intimidating. Since the course is a smaller group it is possible to spend more time exploring areas that need clarification.
In addition to the subjects listed above, the private class will add hands-on training in:
The private class takes approximately 5 hours. The time is approximate because there is no way to know what in-depth questions need answering.
The cost of the private class is $100.00 per student. We will do a class for one student and will discount the host fee by 50% for 6 or more students and 100% for 10 students.
Included in the price of either class is a stamped and signed application, fingerprints, and a 2X2 passport-style photograph, in an envelope to mail to the BCI.
Concealed Carry Practical Class
After attending a group concealed carry class, new shooters should attend an advanced training class that includes live fire. Patriot Carry offers a practical class that provides hands-on training in

- Laws regarding self-defense and justification of force
- An outline of where you can and cannot carry a concealed firearm
- The Four Firearms Safety Rules & other important safety measures
- Hands-on safely load and unload your handgun (semi-auto and revolver)
- The fundamentals of pistol marksmanship
- Basic shooting stances and coaching on your stance (coaching is optional)
- Ways to carry your pistol or revolve
- Answers to any questions you have

- Clearing ammunition and firearm malfunctions
- Sighted, flash sight picture and point shooting with a SIRT pistol.
- Trigger exercises with a SIRT pistol to demonstrate take-up and reset as well as riding the reset shooting.
- Loading and unloading revolvers and semi-automatic pistols,
- Feeling the trigger pull (dry fire) of SA, DA revolvers and pistols.
- Drawing from concealed.
