The Utah Concealed Firearm Permit is one of the most sought after concealed carry permits in the United States. Once certified, you will be able to carry a concealed firearm in 37 of the 50 states. My classes are different from any other class in the state because I go to you. I don't rent out a classroom in a gun store and advertise everywhere trying to fill seats like most instructors do. I will go to your home, business, or wherever you would prefer to teach you and your friends and family. Because of this, each class is tailor-fit to my students. Whether it's your first time with a gun, or you've been shooting for years, by the end of my class you will have a better understanding of how to safely and legally carry a firearm and will feel more comfortable doing so.
The only people in this class will be you and those you've invited (if you want to invite anybody at all). You won't need to feel embarrassed for asking questions, nor will you feel like it is too far above or below your experience level because you and your guests will be the only participants in the course.

My name is Jim. I am a retired United States Air Force Flight Engineer, Utah BCI certified Concealed Firearms Permit instructor, USCCA Certified Instructor and an NRA certified Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol, Refuse to Be a Victim, Personal Protection In the Home and Personal Protection Outside The Home instructor. I have been through countless hours of firearms training and have a solid understanding of the laws associated with carrying a concealed firearm for self defense. I believe that the biggest step to our nation's security is educating and arming every stable-minded citizen so that if a threat should occur, whether it be domestic or foreign, we can protect not only our own lives, but the lives of those we love.

Classes are typically about five hours long and include fingerprints and your photograph.
Classes are offered in the Salt Lake and Utah county areas, I am willing to travel at no extra cost within a reasonable distance.
This course will be taught by an NRA certified instructor as required by Utah BCI, but is not sponsored by Utah BCI or the NRA. I am also certified by the USCCA, and use their curriculum to augment the minimum requirements set by the Utah BCI.
